Sanctuary Pizza

I had the honor of trying some of Ryan Mondragon, owner of Sanctuary Pizza, pizza. I've had his pizza about 50 times already but every bite tastes like heaven. When Ryan Mondragon’s profession as a pizza caterer was derailed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Turlock resident took matters into his own hands with a COVID-friendly business model. These days, Mondragon has pushed the boundaries of pizza making in the central valley. He uses ingredients that are usually not found in pizza and introduces the central valley with a new pallet. The pizza enthusiast takes pride in not only crafting his own recipes, but also in using high-quality ingredients — many of which he makes himself, like the holy trinity. Using a woodfire oven he creates a crust like no other. Guarantied make you leave nothing on your plate. These one-of-a-kind ingredients coupled with 72-hour fermented dough create a pizza experience that is uniquely its own. He is currently only doing catering but if you're lucky enough to catch him at a pop up event you will not regret it.

Big Vic's BBQ, Turlock Ca

I had the honor of trying some of Vic's amazing BBQ located in Turlock Ca. Owners Victor and Jill Rivas first started Big Vic’s BBQ in 2012 and has since offered an array of homestyle meats, sandwiches, sides and desserts at everything from small gatherings to large events. Vic was inspired to start his own catering company after he and his wife found a lack of local options when planning their wedding in 2011. Vic is passionate about his process and it shows in his food. Tasty spicy chicken sandwiches, smoked brisket and potato salads might be what you need. At this place guests can delve deep into delicious dishes, and taste nicely cooked peanut butter pie. Choose between indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere of hospitality of this BBQ highly depends on the staff, that is attentive here. Big Vic's BBQ is notable for its enjoyable service.
